Port Lincoln Hospital and Health Service boasts a modern 50 bed complex with obstetric, renal dialysis and operating facilities.  The accident and emergency department operates 24 hours a day. It has visiting specialists that include bone densitometry, continence nurse advisor, geriatrician, palliative physician, paediatrician, endocrinologist, paediatric endocrinologist and psychologist. The Port Lincoln Community Health Services works in partnership with Port Lincoln Hospital Acute Services and provides access to mental health, child adolescent mental health, drug and alcohol South Australia (DASSA), physiotherapy, podiatry and speech pathology.

Boston Bay Medical Centre

Investigator Clinic is a medium group practice consisting of 5 doctors with eleven dedicated consulting rooms and a modern well equipped multi-room emergency treatment area in a purpose built facility. The practice nurses are responsible for triaging patients and assisting doctors with procedures. The practice has a vertically integrated teaching approach, training fifth year ARCS medical students doing their rural community longitudinal clerkship for a full year, and is a GPEx/RACGP accredited training practice.

The practice and GP’s also provide after-hours emergency care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the wider Port Lincoln community through a shared on-call roster in the emergency department of Port Lincoln Hospital. This includes surgical, medical, paediatric, anaesthetics and obstetrics inpatient, on-call and emergency services.

Lincoln Medical Centre is one of the largest medical clinics on the Eyre Peninsula. Its doctors provide general practice care, obstetrics, anaesthetics, emergency care and inpatient care to the town of Port Lincoln as well as surrounding towns without regular medical services or hospitals. The Medical Centre serves a broad range of demographics including paediatric, adult and elderly patients, patients from all ranges of socio-economic circumstances and Aboriginal patients. The doctors at Lincoln Medical Centre staff the 30-bed Port Lincoln Hospital, providing both regular emergency department and inpatient care. The doctors at Lincoln Medical Centre have a keen interest in training of interns and are accredited AGPT registrar supervisors and have a longstanding relationship with The University of Adelaide, supervising medical students on year long placements.

The Ceduna District Hospital is part of the Eyre Flinders and Far North – West region, and includes the Ceduna District Hospital and the GP Plus Health Care Centre, Ceduna.  Combining acute hospital and primary health care services in the one facility means the community can receive the most appropriate method of care quickly and easily.

The Ceduna District Hospital has 15 acute overnight beds, four day only beds, two dialysis chairs and 38 beds for people requiring high and low level aged care. The GP Plus Health Care Centre, Ceduna offers a broad range of health care services including local general practitioners and visiting medical specialists, child, adolescent and adult mental health, community health, dental health, home and community care and allied health services.
