Support for trainees
The delivery of post graduate training is a collaboration between the colleges, SA Health, private practice, RDWA, Universities and other medical bodies. Many of these provide a variety of support services across mental health, education and training, financial, advocacy and employment that are specific to medical practitioners. Other publicly available support services may also be accessed. Here you will find a list of sites and services to support your training journey.
Advice for trainees
Clinical Lead and Clinical Advisors have been engaged as part of the RGPSA to inform and drive training outcomes and improve experiences of Rural Generalist trainees. They will advocate and support the uptake of advanced skills training for general practitioners in rural and regional South Australia and will provide mentorship and on-going support to general practice trainees (pre-vocational and vocational) and Fellowed GPs who are undertaking advanced skills training as part of the Rural Generalist Program South Australian (RGPSA).
