Dr Beckoff is a passionate and dedicated practising rural doctor who provides support across rural and remote areas of South Australia and Australia and is best described as a Rural Generalist. Mike provides services in GP Medicine and Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Advanced Obstetrics, with special interests and expertise in Mental Health and Sexual Therapy.
Dr Beckoff has provided health corporate services across many domains and sectors over several decades. His current positions include Chair of the board, Rural Doctors Workforce Agency since 2017, SA MET (Medical Education and Training) Health Advisory Council, Clinical Adviser (Safety and Quality), Rural Support Service Clinical Lead, Rural Generalist Program South Australia, National Rural Generalist Taskforce, ACSQHC PCC (Primary Care Committee), Doctors Health SA Consultant/Practitioner, and Riverland Academy of Clinical Excellence Partnership Council.
Mike also provides consultancy services to primary and secondary healthcare, including practice management and has contributed to research, education, training, and facilitation in General Practice. His expertise extends to health planning, policy, strategy, and performance as well as clinical and corporate governance.
