Australian College Rural Remote Medicine (ACRRM)
ACRRM offers the following services to members including to member university students:
24/7 Wellbeing Support Hotline – ACRRM’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for free, immediate, confidential phone counselling support in Australia and overseas.

Education Psychologist Services: Access to a dedicated psychologist who can help to articulate beliefs and goals and then work in a way that helps to achieve them
Mentorship Program – Mentors provide pastoral care rather than academic support to trainees
External services can be self-referred and supported through the training team for access. Access to all support, except for psychologist and specialist referral services are funded by ACRRM

Doctors Health SA & NT
Doctors Health SA & NT offer clinical, education, training and phone advisory services exclusively to medical students and doctors. They focus on comprehensive after-hours check-ups as well as acute medical care, delivered by their team of experienced GPs.
They have a state-wide network of experienced GPs in private practice who have undertaken additional training in treating doctors and students and from which doctors and students can access a GP for their ongoing primary care.

Australian College Rural Remote Medicine (ACRRM)
All registrars have a dedicated Training Officer who can facilitate various levels of support depending on the service required and will have a continuing relationship with the registrar throughout their training. The Training Officer will provide the referral, information or schedule a meeting, as required. Services include:
ACRRM Indigenous Members Group -This is open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander registrars and provides a discussion, support and advocacy forum. Available to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander registrars
Respectful Workplaces Committee – The Respectful Workplaces Committee is led by the College President and includes registrar, indigenous registrar and junior doctor representatives. It works to review and improve college support for member wellbeing.
Registrars Online Community – Registrars have access to their own exclusive community on Connect@ACRRM. This is an online forum where registrars can communicate, collaborate and connect with fellow registrars across Australia
ACRRM Registrars Facebook Group is open to all ACRRM registrars. It has been designed to allow registrars on all ACRRM training pathways to engage and network. When registrars join the College for their training, a welcome email is sent containing the link to join the Registrar Facebook group.

Boots to scrubs aims to inspire, empower, and support rural women to pursue a career as a rural doctor. The AMSA’s aim is to provide first year female medical students with scholarships, accompanied by year-long mentorship by other Inspiring women already in the field of rural medicine. These scholarships help you with relocation fees, textbooks, accommodation costs, online study resources, general living expenses, and all other fees that you encounter along the medicine journey.

ACEM Foundation Conference Grant
To support Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori medical practitioners, medical students and other health professionals in attending the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM; the College) Winter Symposium or the ACEM Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM).
The Joseph Epstein Scholarship for Indigenous Advanced Emergency Medicine Trainees (the scholarship) is to encourage and support Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori doctors undertaking Advanced Training in the FACEM Training Program. The scholarship aims to increase the number of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori specialists in emergency medicine in Australia and New Zealand.
The Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC) Grant for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori Medical Practitioners aims to increase the number of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori medical practitioners completing the EMC in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The award consists of a monetary grant available to a registered medical practitioner who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander or Māori.

Childcare Subsidy – The RDWA’s Resident Rural GP Pre-school Childcare Subsidy aims to assist resident rural GP’s and resident registrars to remain in the workforce during the time they have preschool aged children.
Support Grants – As part of the resident rural GP workforce, there are many grants and services that will keep the doctor supported professionally, such as the opportunity to attend local Medical Professional Development workshops, grants for ongoing clinical development and the award-winning SAVES after hours virtual emergency service that enables them to spend more time doing what they want to do after hours, and only attending for critical emergency presentations
Partner Grants – GP Partner grant are available to support partners with establishing local connections and interests.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Competency Training Grant provides funding to support rural SA’s resident and visiting primary health care professionals and support staff to improve health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

HELP debt reduction for Rural Doctors and Nurse Practitioners
The Australian Government is offering eligible doctors and nurse practitioners a mechanism to reduce or eliminate their HELP debt if they choose to live and practice in rural, remote or very remote areas of Australia.

The Support for Rural Specialists in Australia (SRSA) program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care and managed by the Council of Presidents of Medical Colleges (CPMC). The SRSA program aims to help rural communities receive a high standard of care from skilled, supported and engaged medical specialists.

Flinders University Rural Health
Flinders University Rural Health SA (FURHSA) Health and Wellbeing Financial Assistance is available to Medical, Nursing, Allied Health and PRCC MD 3 medical students. The purpose is to facilitate access to Health and Wellbeing activities within their home rural communities. It acknowledges the longitudinal nature of the PRCC year-long commitment and the impact this length of placement can have on a student finances and therefore, access to health and wellbeing activities.

Australian College Rural Remote Medicine (ACRRM)
The College administers several grant programs to support maintenance and extension of qualifications:
- General Practitioner Procedural Training Support Program (GPPTSP) provides $40,000* of Commonwealth funding for GP Fellows to gain anaesthetics skills.
- Rural Procedural Grants Program (RPGP) provides $2,000 per day for up to 10 days per financial year for procedural GPs and up to 3 days per financial year for GPs providing hospital-based emergency services to undertake eligible training.
- Education Research Grant – Funding to establish and develop research partnerships with academic institutions
- Non-VR Fellowship Support Program – This program offers up to $15,000* of Commonwealth support to achieve Fellowship on the Independent Pathway

MIGA offers financial grants to medical students completing elective placements in developing communities. There are ten Grants of $3,000 available.
